The company’s eclectic approach to theatre-making creates diverse works

“Our theatre should aspire to objectively critique life, respectfully
entertain audiences, and forever explore new, uncharted territories. Based on
this basic consensus, we shall debate among ourselves vigorously as we support
each other loyally,” Pao Kun wrote this in 2002, a vision which has
and will serve as a guide and inspiration for generations to come.
Though his passing in September 2002 marked the closing of a pioneering chapter,
it also marked the beginning of a new and promising phase ahead for TTP. Under
the leadership of a younger generation that includes Kuo Jian Hong and Wu Xi,
The Theatre Practice has moved into a new phase of its artistic journey. On
this journey, TTP strives to maintain equal, harmonious and mutually interactive
working relationships, and create a platform to nurture new and young local
artists, developing local talent with artistic integrity. |
